Pickup Hotel pickup in Agra in a private AC vehicle

Pickup time is set from your batch time on the night-viewing ticket, leaving time for the security check. Bottled water, parking, fuel and driver charges are included.

Visitors must report half an hour before the time printed on the ticket for a security check. Carry your photo ID, or your passport if you are an international visitor.

About this tour

The official Taj Mahal website describes the marble as golden when the moon shines. The Archaeological Survey of India lets visitors in after dark on only a few nights each month, so this tour is built around its schedule, and the booking form lists only the open nights.

How night viewing works: Night viewing runs on five nights a month: the full moon night and the two nights either side, never on a Friday. Sessions run from 8:00 PM to 11:59 PM in eight batches of up to 50 people, 30 minutes each. Report to Shilpgram, near the eastern gate, half an hour before your ticket time for a security check, and carry photo ID (your passport if you are an international visitor). The ASI lists the dates on its official night view page.
Ticket cost, for context: The night-viewing ticket is ₹750 for foreign visitors, ₹510 for Indian nationals and ₹500 for children aged 3 to 15. It is not included by default: add it as an option and we book it for you. The ASI sets the price and it can change.

Good to know

Know before you go: Night viewing does not include Fridays, when the Taj Mahal is closed. Rules and timings are set by the ASI and can change, so we double-check your date after you book. Drones, tripods and food are not allowed, and cloud or haze can hide the moonlight.
