A high rank is not the same as a high price. TripAdvisor's rank is its popularity ranking across all 286 Agra hotels, which weighs how many reviews a hotel has and how recent they are as well as the score. That is why the Radisson, rated 4.6, sits at #56 while the Jaypee Palace, rated 4.5, is #2. The ranks also move from week to week.
For a quick early-season check, the lowest rates TripAdvisor listed for a one-night stay starting on 18 October 2026 were about ₹4,900 at the Radisson, ₹5,600 at the DoubleTree, ₹6,900 at the Jaypee Palace and the Courtyard by Marriott, ₹12,800 at the Taj Agra, ₹16,000 at the ITC Mughal and ₹74,800 at the Oberoi Amarvilas. Prices go up in the winter peak.

Planning your stay
- Book early for October to March. This is the busy season, and the top of each price range is more likely then.
- The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. Plan to see it on another day, and see our Taj Mahal visitor guide for hours and tickets.
- Winter mornings can be foggy. Our best time to visit guide has the month-by-month picture.
- Sunrise is easier from an Agra hotel. Staying overnight means you skip the very early drive from Delhi; we weigh it up in is a Taj Mahal sunrise tour worth it.
- Check what the price includes. Rates are for a standard room and in India taxes such as GST are normally added at checkout, so compare the final total.
- One night or two? If you are unsure, read is one day enough for the Taj Mahal.
Not staying overnight?
Many visitors see Agra as a day trip from Delhi and skip the hotel altogether. We run private, guided same-day tours from Delhi by car or by Gatimaan Express, with the price shown before you pay. See our private Taj Mahal tours, or our guide to things to do in Agra.
How we got these numbers
Rankings, ratings, review counts, room counts and average rate ranges are from each hotel's TripAdvisor page and TripAdvisor's Agra luxury hotels and 5-star hotels lists, read on 11 October 2026. TripAdvisor gives its average rates in US dollars for a standard room; we converted them at about ₹96 to the dollar, the rate shown by Wise in October 2026, and rounded. Details of the ITC Mughal's rooms and grounds are from its Marriott page, and the Radisson's rooftop pool and starting rate from the Radisson Hotel Agra page.
Ranks and prices change often, and a hotel's own site or booking page is the final word on a rate. We take no payment or commission for any hotel listed here, in line with our no-commission pledge. The cover image is an illustration, not a photograph of any hotel.
